Bangor is our leading specialized service and manufacturing center focused on steam turbine and rotor support.

Sign-On Bonus: Qualified external candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus ranging from $6,000 to $10,000. Paid in increments.

Relocation Assistance: Candidates relocating more than 50 miles may be eligible for relocation assistance of up to $5,000.

Manufacturing

Electro-Mechanical Technicians

As an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician at GE Vernova, you’ll play a vital role in keeping advanced manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, CNC and PLC systems, install and relocate machinery, and interpret technical drawings and schematics. From fabrication and welding to equipment handling and maintenance recordkeeping, you’ll use your technical skills to solve problems, support operations and help keep our facility performing at its best.

We're looking for candidates with a High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 years of relevant education or experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, including mechanical and electrical systems, PLCs and troubleshooting. Ideally, you’ll also have a two-year degree in Electrical Automation Technology or a related field, 5 years of maintenance experience, and a current Journeyman or Master Electrician licence. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, with the ability to complete the required course and maintain current certification, is also highly desirable.

Bangor ME

Pay rate: $42.54/hr plus a 10% shift bonus. Depending on shift, you may be eligible for an additional 10% weekend shift bonus

Progression path: $43.20/hr after 6 months, with additional increase opportunities based on skills

Willingness to work B, C, or D Shift:
  • B: 3:30PM - 2AM (MON, TUES, WED, TH)
  • C: 6AM - 6:30PM (FRI, SAT, SUN)
  • D: 6PM - 6:30AM (FRI, SAT, SUN)

Machinists - Lathe or Milling Operators

As a Machinist at GE Vernova, you’ll set up and operate advanced CNC machining equipment to manufacture critical turbine components, working with large industrial parts to precise tolerances. You’ll interpret complex engineering drawings and CNC programmes, make tooling adjustments, carry out precision inspections and ensure the highest quality standards. Working closely with engineering, quality and production teams, you’ll help optimise machining processes, maintain equipment, support continuous improvement and uphold the highest safety standards while contributing to the manufacture of technologies that help power the world.

We’re looking for experienced machinists with a background in CNC machining of large components to close tolerances, gained through relevant education, training or hands-on experience. You’ll be confident interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints, setting up machines, adjusting tooling and offsets, and using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers and gauges. Strong mathematical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are essential, along with a commitment to working safely, handling materials and collaborating effectively with colleagues in a busy manufacturing environment.

Bangor ME

Pay rate: $38.36/hour plus a 10% shift bonus. An additional 10% shift bonus is available for certain shifts

Progression path: Pay increases to $39.40/hr after 6 months

Willingness to work B, C, or D Shift:

  • C: 6AM - 6:30PM (FRI, SAT, SUN)

MACHINISTS - MILL & DRILL or VTL OPERATORS

As a Machinist at GE Vernova, you’ll develop your skills while learning to set up and operate advanced CNC machining equipment used to manufacture critical turbine components. With hands-on training across a range of machines, you’ll learn to interpret engineering drawings, perform machine setups, inspect precision components and maintain high quality standards. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you’ll gain valuable technical expertise, contribute to process improvements and build your career in a high-tech manufacturing environment, while following strict health, safety and quality procedures.

We’re looking for motivated candidates with a relevant qualification, vocational training or at least one year of experience in manufacturing, machining or a related industrial environment. You’ll bring basic machining knowledge, mechanical aptitude and an eye for detail, with the ability to read engineering drawings, follow work instructions and use precision measuring equipment. Most importantly, you’ll have a strong commitment to safety, good basic maths skills and a willingness to learn CNC machining, machine setups and inspection techniques while developing your career at GE Vernova.

Bangor ME

Pay Range: $32.29/hr - $33.71/hr plus a 10% shift bonus. An additional 10% bonus is available for weekend shifts

Progression path: Eligible for pay increases after 6 months. Amount varies by classification

Willingness to work B, C, or D Shift:
  • B: 3:30PM - 2AM (MON, TUES, WED, TH)
  • C: 6AM - 6:30PM (FRI, SAT, SUN)
  • D: 6PM - 6:30AM (FRI, SAT, SUN)
