Position Summary

Lead people, performance, and customer outcomes.

Reporting to the Practice Director, the Cyber Security Practice Manager provides day-to-day leadership for consultants and solution architects delivering Palo Alto Networks professional services.

The role partners cross-functionally with Sales, Recruiting, Customer Success, and Delivery Leadership to match talent to demand, support customer engagements, and build a healthy, scalable practice. Success requires an equal blend of people leadership, workforce planning, customer engagement, operational rigor, and ownership of business performance.

Build a practice where people and customers thrive.

Own the operating rhythm, talent experience, technical standards, and measurable performance of the Palo Alto Networks practice.

Coach & grow the team

Coach consultants and solution architects through regular feedback, career development, performance support, and clear expectations.

Own practice health

Monitor and improve utilization, delivery quality, customer satisfaction, consultant engagement, and other core practice KPIs.

Recruit & onboard

Partner with Recruiting on workforce demand, candidate evaluation, hiring decisions, and a consistent onboarding experience.

Align talent to assignments

Match consultant skills, certifications, development goals, availability, and customer requirements to the right engagements.

Support customer escalations

Provide calm, accountable escalation support, coordinate corrective action, and preserve customer confidence through resolution.

Advance technical capability

Promote Palo Alto Networks certifications, mentoring, knowledge sharing, reusable assets, and continuous technical development.

Uphold delivery standards

Establish and reinforce consistent delivery methods, documentation, quality expectations, and professional-services best practices.

Manage operational metrics

Maintain accurate forecasts, capacity plans, performance reporting, risk visibility, and action plans for practice operations.

Drive Practice Director initiatives

Lead and contribute to strategic initiatives that improve scale, capability, delivery maturity, and overall practice performance.

Model the culture

Build a culture of accountability, candid collaboration, ownership, inclusion, and unwavering customer-first decision-making.

The ideal leader combines disciplined professional-services operations, people development, trusted customer engagement, and broad knowledge of the Palo Alto Networks security portfolio.

Essential experience

Required Qualifications

8+ years in cybersecurity, cloud security, professional services, consulting, or enterprise technology.
3+ years leading consultants, architects, engineers, or cybersecurity professionals, with credible leadership of highly technical experts.
Broad Palo Alto Networks knowledge across Strata, Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, Cortex, SASE, and NGFW.
Success scoping, governing, and delivering complex services engagements for enterprise customers.
Deep strength in Prisma Cloud, Cortex Cloud, and/or Cortex XSIAM.
Command of CNAPP, CSPM, workload protection, CDR, vulnerability management, and security posture disciplines.
Fluency in SIEM, XDR/EDR, SOAR, incident response, and SOC transformation.
Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native architecture.
Demonstrated skill in talent assessment, coaching, performance guidance, and developing technical careers.
Executive-level communication, customer advisory presence, and calm ownership of critical escalations.
Operational ownership of utilization, capacity, delivery quality, forecasting, and KPIs.
Ability to operate in a high-growth, fast-changing environment with excellent organization, communication, and customer relationship skills.

Palo Alto ecosystemPrior Palo Alto Networks or partner experience and familiarity with its services motion.
Practice buildingExperience launching, scaling, or maturing a consulting or cybersecurity practice.
Cloud credentialsCurrent AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud certifications.
SOC modernizationLeadership in SIEM modernization, SOC transformation, XDR, or automation programs.
Talent programsCreation of enablement, certification, mentoring, and career-development programs.
Distributed leadershipExperience leading geographically distributed teams and managed-services delivery.
Team growthHands-on ownership of workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, and rapid team integration.
Security certificationsPCCET, PCNSA, PCNSE, PCSAE, Prisma Cloud, Cortex XDR/XSIAM, or equivalent cybersecurity certifications.
EducationBachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
