What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain software that powers KLA's advanced semiconductor inspection, metrology, and automation systems.
- Build scalable, high-performance applications using modern programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, and Python.
- Develop machine control, diagnostics, AI/ML, data analysis, cloud, and computational software solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Collaborate with systems, optics, electronics, algorithms, and product engineering teams to translate requirements into innovative software solutions.
- Optimize software performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability for mission-critical applications.
- Participate in software architecture reviews, code reviews, testing, debugging, and validation activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Drive innovation through advanced software technologies including artificial intelligence, machine learning, distributed computing, and high-performance computing.
- Support products throughout the lifecycle, from concept and development to deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software architecture.
- Proficiency in software development using C++, C#, Java, Python, or related programming languages.
- Experience developing applications on Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Knowledge of multithreading, distributed systems, cloud computing, containerization, networking, and high-performance computing concepts.
- Familiarity with software development best practices including testing, debugging, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and develop scalable, maintainable software solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
