Electrical Design Engineers

Design the precision systems that power the future of semiconductor innovation at KLA.

What you’ll do

  • Design analog, mixed-signal, and digital printed circuit boards for KLA’s next-generation reticle inspection and semiconductor process-control systems.
  • Develop low-noise analog electronics and sensor interfaces using components such as ADCs, DACs, op amps, and DC/DC converters.
  • Own the full PCB and PCBA development cycle, including requirements, schematic capture, simulation, component selection, layout guidance, bring-up, validation, and release.
  • Define electrical subsystem specifications and architect solutions for sensors, image-acquisition electronics, control hardware, power, and high-performance signal paths.
  • Analyze and improve PCB and cable signal integrity, power integrity, noise performance, grounding, and electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Integrate and test electrical subsystems, troubleshoot complex board- and system-level issues, and drive root-cause and corrective-action work through production.
  • Collaborate with systems, optical, mechanical, firmware, software, manufacturing, service, and supplier teams to deliver reliable products from concept through sustaining support.

What we’re looking for

  • A bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with relevant experience appropriate to the role; for the Electrical Design Engineer opening, the minimum is a doctorate with 0 years, master’s with 3 years, or bachelor’s with 5 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience designing analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuits and taking complex PCBs or PCBAs through the complete development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with schematic-capture and PCB design tools such as OrCAD or comparable CAD platforms, plus circuit and signal-integrity simulation tools.
  • Hands-on knowledge of ADCs, DACs, DC/DC converters, op amps, sensors, power supplies, grounding, and low-noise analog design.
  • Experience with board bring-up, laboratory debug, subsystem integration, validation testing, failure analysis, and resolving difficult electrical issues.
  • Strong understanding of PCB layout practices, component selection, design for manufacturability and test, reliability, and sustaining engineering.
  • Clear technical communication, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead or collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering, manufacturing, supplier, and service teams.
You can help shape the future of technology — KLA solutions enable the production of virtually every electronic device in the world.
