What you’ll do
- Design and develop precision mechanical subsystems used in advanced semiconductor inspection and metrology platforms.
- Create innovative mechanical solutions for complex engineering challenges involving motion control, vibration management, thermal performance, and system integration.
- Develop 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, tolerance analyses, and engineering documentation to support product development and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with systems, optics, manufacturing, service, and supplier teams to deliver robust, high-performance products from concept through release.
- Perform engineering analyses and participate in design reviews to validate performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Drive design improvements and resolve technical issues throughout the product lifecycle, from prototype development to production support.
- Partner with suppliers and manufacturing teams to optimize designs for quality, cost, and scalability.
- Contribute to next-generation semiconductor technologies by developing highly accurate, reliable, and innovative mechanical systems.
What we’re looking for
- Strong foundation in mechanical design, machine elements, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience designing complex precision mechanical systems and assemblies.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of precision engineering concepts including tolerance analysis, motion control, structural design, vibration control, and thermal management.
- Familiarity with manufacturing methods such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, castings, and additive manufacturing.
- Experience with engineering analysis and validation techniques, including FEA and performance testing.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, including systems, optics, manufacturing, suppliers, and service engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
