Program Overview:
Marvell's Chip Design Immersion (CDI) Program is a selective, onsite experience for rising juniors interested in learning how semiconductor products are designed, built, and tested. Over four days, participants will rotate through multiple engineering disciplines while interacting with engineers and leaders.
Program Details:
Date: July 28, 2026 to July 31, 2026
Location: Westborough, MA
Compensation: This is an unpaid experiential program; however, all housing and meals are covered. Participants benefit from intensive skill-building, mentorship, and priority consideration for Summer 2027 internships.
What Participants Will Experience:
Overview of the chip design lifecycle
Deep dives into four core semiconductor engineering functions
Lab tours and technical sessions led by engineers
Networking with current interns, hiring managers, and site leadership
Strong consideration for Summer 2027 internship opportunities upon program completion
Eligibility:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
Ability to attend the full 4-day onsite program in Westborough, MA
Strong interest in a career focused on semiconductor design and development, such as IC design, verification, implementation, DFT, or related engineering disciplines
Preferred Qualifications
Local to Westborough, MA
Relevant coursework includes digital logic, circuits, electronics, computer organization, programming, or similar foundational EE courses
Experience with hands on labs, academic or personal projects
Exposure to programming or design tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Verilog, C/C++, UVM, EDA tools)
Participation in technical clubs, research, or team-based projects
We’re especially interested in students who:
Are curious about how chips are designed and tested
Enjoy learning new technical concepts, even outside their comfort zone
Are interested in exploring multiple semiconductor career path s, such as IC design,verification, implementation, DFT, analog/digital circuits, mixed signal systems, or related engineering disciplines - not just one role
Are comfortable asking questions and engaging in technical discussions
Are motivated to pursue future internship opportunities in hardware or semiconductors
